As of the beginning of January 2026, we have received a total of $75,953 toward the $240,000 purchase price for the building site for the Good Samaritan Center. We have six more months to raise the additional $164,047 (before the July 2026 deadline). The cost of each square foot of this building site is $58 USD. Your contribution for one square foot or more of this land will help us make the GSC a reality. The existence of this ministry center will create a significant increase in capacity for the ministry of the Somali Bible Society, their local church partners, and the An-Nour University. Although we are in need of some large donations at this point, donations of any size will be greatly appreciated.

PRAYER REQUESTS

#1) Pray for Aweis’ safety. He is under constant threat. Cry out to the Lord for his personal protection and the security of his ministry.

#2) Pray for Aweis’ effectiveness in ministry. He carries the burden of leadership for both the Somali

Bible Society and the An-Nour University. Ask the Lord to use these two organizations to impact not only the Somali Peninsula for Christ but Islamic nations in North Africa, the Middle East, and around the globe.

#3) Pray for Abukar’s protection and guidance as he continues this challenging ministry. Seek the Lord for this man of God to be used in significant ways in his area of the world.

#4) Pray for peace, provision, and resilience for Abukar’s family; they carry risk every single day. It is not easy for a family to live in constant fear of what radical Muslims might do to their family members.

#5) Pray for strength, wisdom, and protection among the hundreds of scattered fellowships meeting in homes. Aweis and Abukar are only two of a long line of heroes of faith working in this very Gospel-resistant people group.

#6) Pray for volunteers across the USA and around the world to partner with us in raising funds for the Good Samaritan Center (GSC). #7) Pray that God would step into our need and raise through generous donors the entire balance of the $164,000 owed for the GSC by July 4, 2026. Pray that our supporters and subscribers would become excited by the potential impact of this ministry center and would join with us making this need a priority in their prayer life.

#8) Pray that our newsletter subscribers will forward this month’s issue to their friends, family, and church so that others may see the need and great impact of this future center. We desperately need to extend our reach to a greater audience of potential donors.

PRAISE REPORTS

#1) We praise God for the opportunity for the Somali Bible Society to address the parliaments of the UK and N Ireland. The Lord is so good to expand our sphere of influence. We have no idea of what might result from these encounters with national European leaders, but we do know that God has set up these encounters for a purpose. Praising Him in advance for something big coming to the Kingdom!

#2) We praise the Lord for such heroes of faith, like Aweis and Abukar, giving their lives to see all of Islam turn to Christ. These are two of many, many courageous followers of Christ, who are laboring in the fields of the Somali Peninsula.

#3) We are seeing a great harvest of souls in the Somali Peninsula. Over 200 Somali Muslims are coming to Christ every day. Praise the Lord for this great movement of God! We are believing that the 200+ Somali Muslims who are coming to Christ every day will soon become 1000+ every day as this movement of God increases exponentially!
