As the gospel advances into some of the world's most challenging and strategic mission fields, the need for well-trained Christian leaders has never been greater. An-Nour University exists to meet that need by equipping pastors, missionaries, evangelists, educators, and church leaders with biblically grounded, academically rigorous, and ministry-focused education.
By God's grace, An-Nour University continues to grow steadily, extending its influence across continents and preparing a new generation of Christian leaders to serve Christ effectively in diverse cultural and religious contexts.
Today, An-Nour's faculty serves from Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. These dedicated educators bring decades of academic expertise, ministry experience, and cross-cultural insight to the classroom. Together, they are helping shape leaders who are committed not only to academic excellence but also to faithful Christian witness and service.
This growing international vision is reflected in the University's student body. Students enrolling in 2026 come from multiple continents and represent a wide variety of ministry backgrounds. Many are already serving as pastors, missionaries, evangelists, teachers, and church leaders while pursuing further education to strengthen their ministries and expand their impact for Christ.
A significant number of new students have enrolled in the School of Islamic Studies and the School of Christian Ministry. They are pursuing undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees in areas such as Apologetics, Qur'anic Studies, Christian Education, and Intercultural Studies. These programs are preparing Christian leaders to engage thoughtfully with people of other faiths, communicate the gospel with clarity and confidence, and disciple believers in increasingly complex ministry environments.
Lives and Ministries Being Transformed
The true measure of An-Nour University's impact is found in the lives and ministries of its students.
Anthony, a doctoral student in the PhD program in Polemics and Apologetics to Islam, explained how his studies have transformed his ministry:
"Before beginning my doctoral studies, I often struggled to respond effectively to critiques of the Christian faith from Muslims in my country. Through my studies at An-Nour University, I have gained a deeper understanding of both Christianity and Islam, enabling me to engage in thoughtful, respectful, and productive dialogue while presenting the gospel with greater confidence and clarity."
Anthony's experience reflects the mission of An-Nour: equipping Christian leaders to be both faithful and effective witnesses for Christ in contexts where questions about Christianity and Islam are part of everyday life.
Hussein, a student in the Master of Arts in Christian Education program, shared a similar testimony:
"My studies at An-Nour have strengthened my ministry as a teaching pastor at our church's Bible school. The knowledge and skills I have gained have equipped me to serve more effectively, and the education I have received has opened new opportunities for ministry and leadership."
Cecilia, a student in An-Nour’s diploma program, preparing missionaries for the Somali Bible Society to serve in the Somali diaspora, remarked:
“The recent training offered by the Somali Bible Society was truly transformative. We were deeply moved by the trainers' bold faith and sacrificial hearts. Beyond cultural wisdom and communication strategies, the experience brought mission history to life; reading about those who came before became personal as we met the living fruit of that legacy. It was a profound journey of witnessing God’s mission actively unfolding, connecting the stories we read to the people today.”
Stories like these remind us that every course completed, every paper written, and every degree earned ultimately impacts churches, communities, and individuals far beyond the virtual classroom.
Accessible Education for Global Ministry
One of An-Nour University's greatest strengths is its ability to serve students wherever God has called them. Through fully online undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs, Christian leaders can pursue quality higher education while continuing to serve in their churches, ministries, and communities.
The University currently consists of seven academic schools:
• School of Islamic Studies
• School of Christian Ministry
• School of Languages
• School of Peace and Social Development
• School of Social Sciences
• School of Education
• School of Leadership
This flexible educational model allows students from many nations to receive advanced Christian training without leaving their ministry assignments, families, or local communities.
A Strategic Ministry of the Somali Bible Society
Sponsored by the Somali Bible Society, An-Nour University, a private and fully-accredited Christian institution, is dedicated to academic excellence, biblical integrity, and missional outreach.
The University provides believing students with a thorough understanding of Islam while cultivating Christlike love, humility, wisdom, and confidence in sharing the gospel. At the same time, students from other faith backgrounds who enroll in the University's broader academic programs are exposed to biblical truth and Christian values through their educational experience.
In a world where Christians and Muslims increasingly live, work, and study alongside one another, An-Nour is helping build bridges of understanding while preparing Christian leaders to engage others with both conviction and compassion.
